Default Looking at a 427R but don't know mustangs

I am looking at an 07Roush Stage III supercharged 427R with 35k on it that looks to be in really good condition. Since I'm new to mustangs what is a good price? The dealership is asking 32k. Would it be possible to talk them down any? Thanks in advance!

The 427R is cool car. You get a very nice supercharger, performance suspension, and great looks. $32k isn't out of the question, but it's still a bit high for my taste. I would offer $30k, and find out if they bite. I don't know what the car market is like in CO, but in CA they are wanting to deal. However, the banks that don't want to give loans.

Thanks for the info. My credit is really good and I have large enough downpayment that financing shouldn't be an issue. I'll drive by and take a gander and see how flexible they are willing to be.

I'm coming out of an 08 STi with 400awhp/460awtq.

The 427 should be a fun car for your transition to rear wheel drive.
I agree that $32K isn't a 'bad' price but should be very negotiable.

Should be a decent comparison but when you decide to step it up there is still a little more room for the 427R.

Went to the dealer and took it for a drive. It's a good bit slower than my sti but it'll do for now. Talked them down to 29.5 too!

Here's another question. Are the flush modifications linked to the vin so that when you provide it to your insurance company it will come up as what it is or as just a GT?

VIN comes up as a GT, but most insurance companies are starting to recognize Roush cars, and offer ways to adjust for the 'market value' of the car being covered.

If you plan on getting more power, you might want another car then, the supercharger on the 427r isnt very upgradable and is a very small supercharger. Maybe look into a gt500 if you want more power or a stock gt and put a better supercharger. However its still a great car and i would love to have one lol

Is the supercharger on the 03/04 cobra the same size or bigger? My buddy had an 03 that was wicked fast and didn't really have much in the way of mods. The only difference was we were at sea level. If the 427r would be as fast as that with a few mods then I would be satisfied. I just have to deal with being at 6000' elevation for now.
