Saw SMS Mustang Live Today
Looks just like the pictures... the back is as bad as in the pictures except the tail pipes are round and not square. There is an Indy car style 3rd brake light down between the exhaust pipes... ugly!! The front looks good, and a less busy than in the pictures. The car was black so some things may be more subtle on the black car. Overall a nice car with good fit and finish, but it was N/a and the sticker price was 66K!!!!!!! I almost passed out. 66K and not supercharged. The base Mustang sticker was still on the car and it read 37K... So a 29k premium for wheels, seats, body kit, suspension and brakes. I wish them lots of luck..
I have also seen the Saleen S302 in person and I like it better. A little more sleek looking, and it was about 10K cheaper if I remember... like 55K for the NA version. Still a lot of money and difficult to compete with a GT500 at those prices. The GT500's seem to hold value well too.
I wish both companies luck selling their cars!! I have been a Saleen fan for a long time

Here are some pics. They are from a Blackberry so maybe not so great... The SMS was coming off the truck at Deblasi Ford for the Chicken Holiday in Long Island. How much were the SC cars?? Must be in the mid to upper 70's... Its a shame build quality looked poor...

Have we seen the same cars?? I agree that the SMS cars are a little top heavy as far as the price goes. With that being said I thought they looked very good and I actually like the looks of the SMS car more than the Saleens. We will find out who they hold up pretty soon when they start showing up on the street. I love my Saleen but I would not mind having an SMS Mustang next to it in the garage.
The feeling that I get from talking to people and reading some of the posts on this and other forums is that a lot of people are loyal to the Saleen name and are not willing or able to have an unbiased opinion of the SMS cars.
They are all Mustangs and hopefully Saleen and SMS will be successful.

I like the overall look of the SMS...but I saw 3 of them at the maryland show this past week. YIKES. If this is what they display for their show cars..... (pictures feature a STAPLE, a horrible repaint job, and body molding falling off)

I have to agree. I was at the Bob Bell Show with my Saleen. The finish is just not right. Show cars should SHOW better. All in all I like the look of the SMS over the New Saleens. The rear looks better except for that hidious 3rd brake light/trailer hitch looking thing.
