Default Is this safe?

heading to brenspeed to get their stage 3 "corvette killer" package, and a set of their detroit rocker s/c cams. I've heard that going over 450 rwhp with stock internals wasn't the best idea. Will these parts get me over 450 RW and should i nix something? keep in mind this car has 20 k on it and is my daily driver from april-whenever they put salt on the road.

Thanks!

Should be fine, but nobody can guarantee it. I'm around 420rwhp with 25k miles and the car runs like a "silverback gorilla looking to rape something".

Just tell them you are not looking to be a dyno queen.

It isn't clear from Brenspeed's description if that package is 530 RWHP or FWHP. If its RWHP, then yea, that would be bad.

its fwhp, so probably looking at around 430-440 rwhp + the cams are suposed to add 20-30 so max were looking at around 460-470 rwhp. Not sure what the s281 sc is stock, id guess somewhere in the 390's the way it is stock?

Have fun, and it should be ok. They have only done one or two of these cars before...lol.

Besides they hate bad press.

Bottom line is you never know. If you cannot afford to replace the engine, don't mess with it. My stock Saleen motor blew at 6k miles. Some have lasted twenty times that at twice the power. So you just never really know.

That said, you can't go wrong with Brenspeed in terms of setting it up right and giving you the least amount of risk. Note that some risk will always be inherent though.

came back at 480 RWHP on the dyno @ brenspeed. I drove to Ann Arbor MI and back home after with no issues so far. That said i'm gonna take my chances, and if it blows ill upgrade to the B302
