What Supercharger to get for non/sc saleen
#3
I have an n/a Saleen s281, and I went with the Whipple/Ford Racing kit. one of the reasons is it is a complete kit including GT500 pumps, but the other reason is I wanted polished. Realtively easy to install if you take your time. Instructions are literaly step by step. I would do it all over again.
Difference between centri and twin screw is torque build. if you want immediate response and big power down low, get a twin screw/roots. if you like the power to build gradually check out the centri.

I'm assuming you have an 04 due to your user name. right now the best kit on the market hands down is the Tork Tech. It runs a TVS 1900 series blower and is good for over 400 RWHP safely on a stock block and has output potential for over 700 with a built motor. It also converts the throttle body to a cobra style oval and the rear inlet tube is monstrous! Very complete kit, comes with a huge heat exchanger and aluminum expansion tank. let me know if you want some more info on it, I'm a dealer!

+1 on the Tork Tech. I was going to get one for my 2000 Saleen but sold the car. There was a write up a couple years back on 5.0 magazine...it looks like a nice set-up. For a centrufual, I would go with the Prochager but to me there is a love/hate with the noisy unit. I have one on my 98 Saleen and the noise can get to to me at times lol.

I'm sure dollarwise there are less expensive ways to go, but for my '08 - 4.6L I chose the Roush, & I could not be happier! The supercharger is similar to a Ford Shelby ... without the expense! It gives the 4.6L 460 hp & it drives like grandma's car with 27.5 mpg highway until I put my foot in it... then hold on! Allot of bang for the buck! Best money I've spent! I prefer the performance to the '08 Shelby's I've driven! Less torque off the line, but pulls harder up to redline. I've added a strut tower brace since this picture because the torque was twisting the front end! It's a great way to go! If you're in So. Calif. contact me & I'll recommend where to have it installed.
