The 650hp GT500 coming out looks ridiculous. I want one but with 500lbs less weight.

If you want a car that weighs 500 lbs less and has 650 hp then your looking in the wrong market, double the price range and you might have a chance.

To me if you are into going to the drap strip and want a monster the Shelby is it, but I just really don't care. I think I can get to 500hp NA, if I pull up next to a Shelby and he smokes me I'm not gonna go jump off a cliff........

Default Gotta be honest!

Gotta be honest! Once the "gotta be 1st" types pay the big "lay down" prices & are outta the way, I might be tempted by a 2013 Shelby! In terms of power... too much power is still nice a few seconds at a time! I'm a 70 year old that still likes to see the rear end of my car coming up to meet me! Although, I have learned that I don't like to hear the SC when it's raining! I only had to get sideways at 70 mph once to learn that! Fast learner...huh?

If you want a 650 HP car that weighs 3350 lbs, buy a great condition 06' Mustang coupe, forge the bottom and get the big Whipple kit, fit out the cars chassis, suspension, brakes, wheels, tires, and insist that weight loss follows every piece you change out that's possible, and then lose all the weight in front. its easier to buy a classic fiberglass body, add a tube chasis and procede to rape, pillage, etc
