Go to http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars and put in the info. Low range is $9,500 with a high retail value of around $17,000 avg in the $13,500 range for the s281.

Looks like this car is supercharged , hard to say if it is Saleen factory supercharged or one was added after the fact. Pics were to small to figure out much detail. So it could possibly be an s351, in that case value is 14,700 to 28,200 avg out at around 20,000.

I would get a bunch more pics and ask if he has documentation. I think it is odd he can't remember when he bought it and claims it's never been raced but says it will do 150 mph AND had the rear end rebuilt.

Get the vin number and the bumper number and I could look it up in the Saleen book to see if it is legit.
