Default '10 427R or '11 Stage 2 Roush??

Gentlemen,
Trying to decide on which direction to go.

I have a 2010 427R with only 8000 miles i found for a pretty great price.

But wondering if i shouldn't try to focus on getting a similiar priced (hair over $30k) '11 Stage 2 for less trouble down the road?
Do the superchargers have more issues overall than the NA 5.0 that would come on the '11?
And overall what are the real world differences between the two?
Unfortunately there are none in my immediate area that i could go and drive and decide...and not sure i can find an '11 in that price range yet.

Thanks!!

The 427R is going to have the power house under the hood.
Will it create more issues in the future? Tough to say. The Roush-charged cars do very well long term. They put a ton into the R&D of those units to make sure you get a long term OEM quality product.

If you REALLY need the 5.0, then go to the Stage 2.

What are you looking for out of the car?

I don't need the 5.0; i just wondered if the supercharger was reliable long term...although who am i kidding i only seem to keep these cars a couple years.
so i realistically will not take this car to the track either, it is a fun non-daily driver, or a high dollar toy.
At this point the better deal and year older 427R is what i am leaning towards based on the price....so i wanted to see what those of you with experience thought.
granted i am in ohio and it will sit in the garage for the next 5 months possibly!
thanks again!

If it were me, I'd take an SC'd version over the N/A version hands down. The blower whine is addicting.

Yea, you would!!

OP,
I'd recommend the 427R if you are only going to keep it for a few years. The bang for the buck fun without modding will be higher - marginally - however, if you're going to spend any $$ modding then the 5.0 is the way to go.
Personally, I'd go with the Stage 2 and add the ROUSH TVS! But, that's just me and LilRoush would know.

Haha, I'm all for adding Eatons to Mustangs (and Explorers).

Since you already have the 427R I would keep it. However if you got the Stage2 you can put any blower on it and be content.

I don't have the 427R...was trying to decide between the two. leaning towards the 427R, but thinking of waiting a few months since it will sit in storage all winter anyways.
thanks!
