Default 2009 Roush 427R questions

First post here and I am looking at a 2009 Roush 427R that is on a auction site currently. I have a few concerns about the car and am not sure if certain items on the car are correct. Any input is appreciated.
I see there are hood pins on the car; I believe these to add ons.
The rear spoiler is painted White instead of body color. Could the spoiler be ordered in white to match the stripe?
There is a number on the front bumper, but it does not match the serial number on the tag installed by Roush. Is this just an add on trying to make it look like a Saleen?
The price seems allot cheaper than other 2009 Roush vehicles I see for sale. Too good to be true???

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Got a link to it? It would be easier to tell. From your description, sounds like the spoiler was painted afterwards, the hood pins were added and someone put a number sticker on it trying to look cool.

There are some really good deals on that generation of Roush car right now due to people upgrading to the newer 5.0L supercharged Roushs.

Default 2009 Roush 427R questions

Thanks for the reply. The car is listed on ebay and here is the item number. 370684922891.

Other 427R's that I see are 1 or 2 years older and they are asking a few thousand more than this vehicle with about the same mileage.

Regards,
Mike

Yep, that wing was painted after the fact. I'd say it's about on par for the 427R package right now. What are you looking for out of it? I know of a 427R "Trak Pak" for sale right now (more road course oriented set up from Roush) for $25K - located in Oklahoma. I've seen it run in person and it's a very well maintained car. It's got bigger brakes, coilover suspension and a lot of the bells and whistles the 'plain' 427Rs didn't come with.

Matt,

I mainly am looking for a car that will be driven only on weekends and sunny days. Most likely will only put a few thousand miles on it per year. Do not really have the interest to track a car, but I think the Trak Pak cars are streetable, so I would be interested in obtaining additional information about it.

Thanks,
Mike

You're right, they are 100% streetable and very fun to drive.

Owner's name is Jerry. His email address is SuperSnake01@sbcglobal.net.

2009 427R Trak Pak 70K on the clock. 392/355 @ the wheels (last dyno 1/3/12).
He'll have all the details for you. He's been a big name in racing and in the Roush owner world. I've seen the car in person several times and it's always well taken care of.

The only pics I have of it are from Roush events in Dallas a few years ago.

Matt,

Thanks for the contact information. Wish the miles were lower. Let me see what kind of a deal I can work for the one on e-bay. I might contact him to talk to him about the car if the seller on e-bay is firm on his pricing.

Regards,
Mike

Those hood pins are in the completely wrong location... over the stripe?

Other than that, looks like a real one. Owner just made some mods he wanted to make - it's his car, and he can do what he wants.

I was able to pull it up in ebay. Hood pins are not ours and the wing is painted after the fact white. Left us as a Vista Blue 427R. Vin is a 427r Vista Blue. DM or call our 800-59-ROUSH if ever question on a ROUSH. Not sure about the numbers that was a Saleen thing we never did it like that.
