First post here. I have a question. Friend of mine just picked up a 2006 Saleen S281 SC coupe thats yellow with an auto and just shy of 40k miles.
Any input as to the value? I was told that there were only a few yellow ones with an auto made that year (like less than 10) not sure if that helps or hurts?

Value on saleens is all about supply and demand. I had a 2006 extreme and tried to value you it 100 times over and looked all sales, i eventually sold it for $32k (bought it new for $48k and sold it for $32k)

its all supply and demand at the exact time if you ask me on these cars.

if i had to guess, I would say you could sell your car for $23k-$27k.

to get the best idea on values, see what other cars similar to yours sell for (ebay, craigslist, auto trader, saleen forum sales)




PS my car was second titled but only had 500 miles on it. so it was not legally new, but new enough for me (2006, bought it in 2007 with 500 miles)
