Default Auto meter Gauge Pod

Wondering if anyone has installed the auto meter 10050 or 10051 gauge pod. If so do you have to drill a hole in the dash to run the gauge wires or is there some place to snake them through to eliminate drilling into the dash. Thanks.

I have that pod on my 2007 Roush 427R. Roush used this pod on the Trak-Pak cars a few years ago. At the Roush factory they drilled a pretty large hole in the dash. I did not want to do that. I see above you have a 429R. Always great to talk with another Roush Owner.
I took all my wires down in the defroster opening. There is a gap between the actual defroster duct and the actual opening in the dash. It's not the easiest to fish but it can be done. Also take out the Glove box door to give you access to where the wires will come down. When you fish them thru, try to move them toward the glove box area which will help.

Not sure if you are aware but the Firewall on our cars is a twin wall so I chose to go around the A-pilar in the door opening with my wires coming into the engine compartment right at the battery. Done with care, it will look completely factory. Good Luck.

Thanks a lot. Very useful information. Do you have any pictures of your dash with the gauages?

Looks good. Can you see the wires going into the defroster vent? Or does the pod cover it?

Thanks. I was lucky enough to get the actual Roush gauges some years back. They have the Roush name on the face but were actually made by auto meter. To answer your question - the pod covers the defroster vent. No wires show what so ever.

Is there anywhere that sells Roush gauges other than the boost/vac gauge?

No sadly, Not that I am aware of. Unfortunately, with the light being somewhat dimmer on Roush Mustangs these days, a lot of aftermarket items specifically for these cars have disappeared.

You might ask Stage 3 Motorsports (Where I got mine) if they know of any available these days or an ebay search, but I would not get your hopes up.
