Hard to tell from that picture and diagram but it looks like a pcm input from the clutch or park switch to allow the computer to start the car. Seems odd because my 93 was different.

For stock belts you're probably SOL. Modern belts have the pretensioners in them and shouldnt be messed with. Unless some company manufactures them specifically for the car forgot about finding them.

The springs shouldnt protrude as much. As the clutch wears they will move further out. Why you have to loosen the cable as the clutch wears. Id check your cable adjustment again.

Id say the Bassani would be louder than the flows. The new catback I bought a couple years ago came with super 44 mufflers instead of the 40s like the older ones. Still sounded good though.
