Would you believe my 10-sec 2011 5.0 gets 31.7 MPGs on the highway? That's with 3.73s. It pulled 32.3 on the stock 3.31 gear, but it wouldn't run 10s. :D

Negative. The threaded sleeve is welded to the axle housing. I've heard of people not welding that piece, but I recommend welding it.
