I've never planned on being airborne, but it has happened once and nearly happened on a few more occasions.

This is of dubious value on old cars with lots of miles. For a 2014 Mustang, there's nothing dubious at all. No value whatsoever.

If there's salt on the floor of your garage, chances are real good that your tires are going to pick some of it up, which means some of it will get on the inner fender wells, which means that it...

Wheel width will have an affect on the actual contact patch of the tire, but if you stick within the recommended wheel widths this affect should be relatively small, with no significant affect on...

First, swaybars won't have any noticeable impact on ride quality.

As for cornering performance, some people may disagree with this statement, but I wouldn't bother with any sort of...

Nice stance you have there. I have the ultralights myself, but I didn't get the 'leveling' effect from them. Rear still sits visibly higher than the front, but the overall handling was the primary...

Ditto.

More than that though, I 100% support square, always have. I honestly don't understand the appeal of staggered setups.

Sounds like stability control kicking in to me. Even in Advanced Sport Track mode, the stability control will kick in if it's getting too squirrelly.

As many people have found at the drag strip,...

If you have the same 42mm offset as I'm running, I don't see how there could be any issue at all. I quite literally have around an inch of clearance on the insides of the wheels. The driver's side...

My axle shifted less than an 1/8th of an inch with Steeda Ultralights. No clearance issues to speak of, even with 18x10 wheels and 285/35 tires.

Torque arms prevent the axle from 'torquing' around the wheel axis of rotation.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. To simplify the entire chain of actions and reactions,...

I'm running 285/35/18s on 18x10 wheels on all 4 corners as well, and with no rubbing at all. That setup is an inch less diameter than a 19 inch setup though, so it isn't a perfect comparison.

I...

BFG baffles me a bit with these tires. They look like a great option for ST classes, except the only 265 and 285 sizes are for 20" wheels. WTF? Thanks for showing us RWD owners some love... NOT!

Seems to me like that setup is more for handling than quarter mile. Lower, stiff springs and handling oriented dampers are going to reduce weight transfer on launch, not maximize it. Can't really...
