7+ years on the forum and the # of OE TB problems has been incredibly small, especially compared to the alternator problems and there was no recall there or even a TSB. Nor for the 05 thru early 06...

My wife's '06 V6 had the fuel pump issue. I had the dealer replace the fuel pump after showing him the TSB (1 week left on her warranty) and that took care of it.

A lot of folks have had issues with their OE and rebuilt Motorcraft alternators. And, of course, others have had no issues. You might want to try a PA Performance alternator or take your chances...
