You have to have catalytic converters yes, if they require a "chambered" exhaust (never heard of that rule) you could always buy a set of OEM takeoff axlebacks for cheap and throw em on and swap out...

How do I plug the PCV 'slot' on the supercharger inlet? Just get a rubber cap and wedge it on? If I leave it bare it'd end up being unmetered air and cause more problems lol

I haven't noticed that much heat soak, how hard are you running on a consistant basis? You could also go for something like KBs liquid cooled systems. I absolutely love my Whipple 2.3, it's got power...
