Gear ratio for 66 coupe

The car is a 66 coupe, it has a mild 351w, c4 with a shift kit, 8" open differential with 3.00 gears. Right now it has 245/60/15 radial t/a's. I like the cruising rpm of the 3.00 but i dont like how...

yes you need to bolt the torque converter back up...

yes you need to bolt the torque converter back up to the flywheel, install the torque converter onto the front of the transmission in the order that texasaxman said, then set the motor in place...

i dont know what your fab skills are like, but you should put a 6 horse motor in it. i put a 6 horse in my schucks/oreilly mini bike and it hauls a$$, way to much fun for an adult.
