no, you ran the car low or empty, sucked up all the tar and garnish the additive effected into the fuel pump and killed it. Drop the tank, replace the fuel pump and fuel filter and strainer

A immediate cut out like you turned the key off can be the tfi module,coil pack , ecm relay in kick panel, ignition switch etc.

Thats a big fuel pump.

Stock relay and wires can easily become overheated and open up = stall.

Check your fuel pressure, pull the line off the regulator if it has one,and look for leaking fuel.

No fuel perhaps.
If it starts with starting fluid, the first culprit to check is the fuel cut off switch in the rear hatch area by the brake light assembly,removal of a plastic panel may be needed.
