I got all my hardware from a 75 Maverick. Everything worked fine. You will also need the outer tie rod ends.

I don't really know the value of the II's ,Though I did see one totally restored....the guy was asking $8,500.00. I think 2k dosent sound all that bad,if the body is ok.

I'm sure it will work. The nice thing is....that they make all the parts you need to do it. Like motor mounts and the late model 5-speed or AOD conversion kits. I havent seen one with the 5.0, But...

swapping a 4.6 into a 68

I think it would be very difficult. There are many engines that will fit in the bay without cutting the shock towers. I'd much rather go the 5.0 or 5.8. with all the aftermarket pieces, you can get...

To really get an idea of what the car is worth, Give us some more info...Like what engine and options the 66 has. BTW, Did the owner say the odometer was actual mileage?

Looks like a regular fastback. All 69's had the quarter scoops, but the Mach!'s did not have the "Mustang" emblem on the fender....it was a decal strip that ran the side oh the car about 2' wide with...

When I bought mine it was a 200 6. I bought it because it was a fastback, and in decent shape. I promptly switched the 200 for a 351W. But I must say while the 200 was no rocket it did have some pep....

Widdest wheel and tire???

I'm running 235-60X14s on mag500 wheels on my 68. They clear the upper control arms by 1/4'. Not a whole lotta room there.

After 71, I think you could even get a 302 2v in the Mach 1. I have my little book in front of me, 63"R" is the body style code for '73 Mach 1. That is if the decal is still legible.
