The noise is in the 1500-2000 rpm range when I am traveling at highway speeds, 50-60 mph, and only when I am pressing the gas pedal. 2nd or 3rd gear. I have a 2006 GT, automatic. 90k miles.

No complaints so far. I didn't have a wheel hop problem or anything before, I don't think. Going cruising to the beach this weekend, so will get a better feel for the car then.
