The speed sensor doesn't have anything to do with the speedo, or the odometer. The cable drives them both....

Since your OD is working , I suspect that the speedo gauge itself is bad.

Here it is , needs a little work on the front clip and I have to pull the trans and rebuild the synchros in it. But other than that its in pretty good condition. Has a lot of stuff done to it...
