I have seen people attempt to build up the base of the factory seat with covered foam. Need pretty firm foam. Talk with your local upholstery shop for ideas.

Lets see.....my 00, 07, 02, and 08 verts all did the same at highway speeds. They all have glass... Never have seen any damage from the movement. With the vert, I find that I very rarely drive it...
