Totally agree. Car shows are more for getting together and hanging out. I've put my car in a couple shows and have had a blast at each one. OP just a little food for thought...

Ok but just so you know, you can take it to a dealer, get it diagnosed and get it fixed elsewhere. Should cost about 75 bucks for the diagnosis. It could be so simple that you may be able to fix it...

I would assume you're putting down close to 385-400 to the rear wheels. Adding cams will more than likely take you to the limit of your SB. School boy hit it on the head. Get your block forged before...

Probably the best bang for the buck (and cheapest) would be nitrous. I don't know if I would install that on a newer car but like I said earlier, it is the cheapest and you'll gain the HP and torque...
