You're dumping fuel for some reason, most likely it runs when you unhook the vacuum due to the extra air, do you still have the fuel pump hot wired or is it working off the factory connections?

skip the throttle body and go for a good tune up with some high qaulity wires, motorcraft coppers are the best plugs imo and what most people use

a four cylinder transmission will work fine behind a 5.0 they didn't make them weaker than the 5.0 ones, first gear is a different ratio though, before everyone goes screaming bloody hell I've used...
