The TFI module tested bad and I replaced it with yes, a new MOTORCRAFT ignition module.

I replaced the PIP as preventative...

Double check that it isn't in the intake manifold. It does not belong in the grommet but rather between the grommet and intake manifold.

Sometimes it is hard to see. It took me a dental pick...

Oh, forgot to mention the TFI is almost new (about 1.5 years old and 7K on it). It is a High Energy brand (LRS-F504) from Late Model Restoration.

Also the ignition coil is an Accel high output...

The 5.0 makes its best HP when coolant temp is 160-180° I have read but I don't remember...

On the computer controlled fuel injected Mustang however you have to get an EGR simulator to "trick" the computer to think it is operating.

You don't have to drain the old lubricating oil, nor do you have to evacuate the system entirely.

The old oil is heavier and will find lows. You can drain when you service parts in the future. ...

The engine is all stock. SN Paxton supercharger and ported intakes with 65MM throttle body. That's it for the engine. I just recommend a MSD ignition to keep the spark hot.

The coil could be the issue...when it it gets hot its properties can change. The ignition module can behave this way as well. This is an indicator the coil or ignition module is on its way out.
