because they don't leak bad and fast enough to drop boost that fast.......smoke test a new one and you'll see what I mean, even carbs leak a little around the throttle shafts, no way to get a 100...

where is the fuel line routed?? close to exhaust?? also might want to do a pressure/volume test on fuel pump and make sure the pump isn't drawing air anywhere do to a loose clamp or split line...

if it's a solid misfire, pull one plug at a time with an insulated set of pliers until you find one you pull that makes no audible change in the way the motor runs, as you pull and replace the wire...

check any and all hoses attached to intake for any splits or breaks, also inspect fuel pressure regulator hose and make sure it's not wet instide with fuel, install new plenuim gasket when going back...
