get a new cable, its self adjusted by pulling up on the back of the pedal with the front of your foot and pushing the pedal to the floor. but it sounds like you need a new cable.

try running the scanner on it again but this time pull your emergency brake. if not find somebody with a good scanner at a garage, the 1st and 2nd codes are related. it could be the brake switch...
