See if you can get a spacer for the upper intake....

See if you can get a spacer for the upper intake. Or double up on gaskets in between the upper and lower intake? Let us know how you make out.

That's insane! Who would do that? Makes me wonder about idle problems i've dealt with in the past. Replace it. Better safe than sorry.

Ceramic is the way to go. I used semi-metallic for a while but after switching to ceramic i won't ever go back. Also super quiet.

Don't cut, it makes a mess. Auto parts store sells a quick disconnect tool that you can use for both AC lines and Fuel Lines. Good luck.
