Yeah man I understood that he was kidding. I also understand what jb weld is and what it does. However, I know people who have used JB weld on engine blocks (not particularly in the same situation)...

I think I'm going to try and go the jb weld route just to roll the dice here. I have over a year and too much money tied up in this motor to not try to fix it. If it doesn't hold I'll be searching...

I was using a torque wrench at exactly 18ft...

I was using a torque wrench at exactly 18ft pounds when this happened and it was the exact bolt that came out of It the first time....there has to be something I can do.....

The balancer looks to clear the water pump housing just fine and there doesn't appear to be anything else blocking its path. Does anyone know of theres a difference...

I just rebuilt my '88 302 from the ground up this past fall (will post pics) to put back in the stang to hopefully be ready for this spring. The old balancer looked to be easily 20 years...
