I have a video on how to remove the engine on these cars, but I do have a...

Good advice, just be careful when touching them. I have seen wheels get hot enough to melt plastic center caps. I wouldn't worry about the clutch, it wouldn't cause what you're describing.

Wasn't really directed at you, just people in general, I've seen claims of 33mpg average in an LS1 Fbody. I was skeptical about the 70/30 city and getting 23mpg, but from what you're describing, it's...

Obviously power is going to be the biggest difference. You talking 180HP extra at the minimum. Now, the 03/04 cobra is what I would aim for if I had the money. They will hold their value better and...

You want to know the one thing that I see on every gas mileage thread, on every car forum that I visit? People vastly overrating the MPG of their car. It's inevitable and when you call them out on...

Yeah, the verts use a 6.5" speaker in the rear and they are mounted differently. Shouldn't change how you go about putting in a new head unit though.

What brand of fuel pump did you use? I would check for codes, check the fuel pressure, and check the air filter. You might have a rats nest clogging up the air filter if it's been sitting.

The 460 isn't that bad for a stock unit, if you compare it to something like the Monsoon in the Fbodies, or the Bose in the cadillacs, or the JBL in the Mark VIII. It's just nowhere near the quality...

Probably timing chain tensioners, but the 4.6L/5.4L are known for piston slap when cold. In my experience, the modulars are just noisy bastards.

I have returned and what I've been doing.

Last year, I sold off my 97 Cobra and picked up a 98 Formula Firebird. After about a year of driving it, I decided to look around for a project to have some fun with. Wound up with a low mile 95...

No, the doorman is a POS. Your best bet is going to be trying to find a PI intake used. Remember that you can use it off from the 01+ Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, and Towncar.

Probably one of the idiotic CARB certifications that commiefornia requires. You might try K&N, or you might have to get a stock intake or another CAI that has the sticker.
