I've had my pro 5.0 on my car since 2006. I've never driven a car with a different one, but I'm very happy with it. I believe the Pro 5.0 and Tri-ax are pretty much the same thing.

Bummer about the engine. I too think a better option would be a replacment motor. There's no telling what else was neglected on that car that could cost you money after you fix the head gasket.

Nice job. I've watched my friends repair some pretty serious scratches on plastic using the heat gun. It's amazing. It also works on sun damaged plastic; will bring the original color right up!
