Does your dipstick read low when the light comes on? If so your either leaking it or burning it.

If not then it could be a faulty oil level sensor.

I have done so many of them over the years that I just use a piece of thin rolled up plastic or aluminum can and wrap it around the tube. I found it easier that the tool that's supposed to do it.

The vacuum line at the egr shouldn't even show any vacuum at all at idle since the vacuum solenoid that operates...

I don't know its the same price at the zone, a little over 200 bucks. I suspect its because one of the kits does not include the chain guides and instead is just the chain.

Problem with gears is just as mjr says above, they are already broke in and matching the wear pattern will prove to be difficult at best. Even using the exact shims will not give you a perfect set...
