The lugs are replaceable, but shouldn't need to be with rims that are designed for that car. I'd investigate those rims a little more. Search this forum or Google what offset you can run.

Congrats on seeing it through. It really isn't that hard to do basic repairs. Ambition, common sense, and patience and the ability to turn a wrench and you can fix anything.

I'm assuming your 98 T5 is from a V6. In which case I don't know for sure if that bell housing bolts to a 302. But, if it doesn't, finding a V8 bell housing shouldn't be a problem.
