floor pans ar the same for a fastback and a coupe. you may have a 94-95 t5. it has a longer input shaft and a deeper bell housing than a fox car. it would make the shifter too far back.

if i were to restore one again, i would check with your local powder coater. most have a wrinkle paint that will hold up very well. the rest is just elbow grease.

heard it before? it is my uinderstanding that cam wipeout is mostly a new breaking thing? i know plenty of people running their flat tappet cams hard and no problems and no zinc.

sounds like a 70s cobra jet block. only 4 bolt 429 non boss block i know of and it has cj heads. bore size won't help on a 429-460 block. they are the same. crank is different. google is your friend....
