Gee, I thought that I would be sticking half my arm in the heater box lol. I gave it a push and it opened right up. I sprayed the door a bit, but it still sometimes locks if you fully open the door....

65 striker door shim

Hi. We just recently replaced the door striker on our 65 fastback, and now we are starting to have trouble shutting the door again. A few guys looked at it and say we need a shim on the striker....

Yes, they are a bit odd. It's even worse on the 65, since they switched the fan speed switch mid-year. One of our cars goes Low Off High, and the other is Off Low High.
