I don't believe that hole should be there, hopefully someone else knows. if you don't mind getting rid of the oil cooler, you could use the 99-04 gt oil filter adapter.

If the torque converter was not all the way...

If the torque converter was not all the way seated, the car more than likely what not have turned over very easy or not at all. Any trouble trying to start it?

best bet is to take it to a shop and let them put on a lift and look it over. When you test drive it, make sure theres nothing out of the ordinary wrong with it. Also check fluids.

I personally would have the car dyno tuned since you are running larger cams. If the car runs decent at all on the factory tune would surprise me. Should run well enough to move it on the trailer...

I agree with soldier, take it back to stock and see if it runs any better. If not, try cleaning the iac, they tend to get dirty and cause problems. Also check and see if everything is air tight on...
