Here's what I'm running on my front, 17×9 Cobra Rs with 245/35-17s. My car is lowered about an inch and I have no issues with rubbing. And to me, it looks good....

You could try drilling and then use the appropriate size easy out. Those shouldn't be hardened bolts so easy to drill.
