ya,

difference between halogen and HIDs is that power to the low beam cuts off when the high beam is activated. on the HIDs, the power is constant and the high beam activates the shield to engage....

if it's the display, sounds like it went bead. you can get one on fleabay and just replace the face rather than the whole head unit/ easy enough fix.

you can also check to look for a broken solder.

you don't want them on for too long a period. they get very hot and more likely than not will fail much quicker. I know they are LEDs and shouldn't burn out, but one has already gone out on my GT...

do a search and you will find the diagrams and part numbers. it was the lower one for me and cost me $25 and 10 minutes. put your finger on it when it clicks to make sure that is the faulty one.

door isn't stuck, you just have a couple of broken teeth on the cog that opens it. that's why you hear the clicks. it will likely get worse and fail at some point. but it is incredibly annoying.

its the blend door actuator. went on mine after 10,000 miles. easy fix to do yourself and costs under $25 bucks. do a search on the topic so you can figure out which of the 3 actuators it is.
