I've got the same bumper. Keep in mind that the whole lower portion of the bumper is textured so it's pretty difficult to get it right. I'd say keep it unpainted.

I'd go with just your basic polishing sponge/hand buffer and microfiber towels instead of an electric buffer. It's a small area and those are really for covering large areas.
