RE: Had a first tonight..

I know we're talking about guys who aren't dicks about their cars but reading this really reminded me of this guy (I don't know why) I went to high school with who drove an auto Celica GT (not...

RE: '01 z28 vs. 99 cobra

And a lot of insurance companies don't differentiate between Gts and Machs. You're still paying GT prices but it's still like sticking it to the man a little bit :D

RE: '01 z28 vs. 99 cobra

Ok so the 99'. 01' Cobra is a mid to high 13's car with (following the fix) 320 hp, whereas the Mach 1 is a mid to low 13 second carwith 305 hp and the same amount of torque, I think. Does the IRS...

RE: How many automatic mustangs on here?

Just add my name to the roster so I get counted in when we start tearing down monuments and setting things on fire in a riot induced rage.

RE: ME vs 96-98 stang gt

Some of the 98 GT weight loss wouldve been the removal of 2 cats, bringing it to 4 total. That probably had to do with the 10hp gain as well.

RE: Me Vs. Pontiac Grand Prix

I didn't realize that the Northstar had a FWD configuration. Honestly though, what the possesed GM to make such a rediculously front heavy car? Law, I'm not trying to to talk **** about your car or...

RE: Mach 1 stock or not stock?

I remember reading in a number of places that the subframe connnectors were stock. I believe it was part of the Mach's suspension/ stiffening upgrades over the GT that included Tokico shocks and...

RE: Have u avoided a ticket becuase of your car?

Well it's a good thing none of you drive 1986 I-ROC Camaros with T-Tops because the cops, especially CHP, are on the lookout for those these days. But rest assured that a pack of Marlboro Reds and...

RE: TECH: Post your exhaust clips!

Does anyone have a clip of a Mach 1 with Borla stingers? Something I'd like to sample if possible.

RE: How much do you think an '07 Cobra is going to cost this summer?

I'd guess at least 45k base but I'd read over on blue oval forums that because theyve created enough pre-production demand, byt the time they become available to those who haven't preordered them...

Ok so maybe I missed part of the opening thread , because your edit just has "j", but from what I can see in the following quotes, thats sounds pretty stupid. Moreover, why'd you do it, just to prove...

RE: Mine Vs Accord

I'll simply add my tally to the "you'll rip them both a new one" pool. But hey, if either one of these guys seems so positive that his $hit is worlds hotter than yours, make a wager out of it, which...

RE: SN 95 VERT VS. 350 Z

Though I haven't raced any Zs, or any Nissans for that matter, I have a stock 98Gt auto Vert and I wouldn't in a million years assume that I could beat or even have a decent race with a 350 Z, the...

RE: Supercharger Comparison

You're right, the Roots type would be simply an economic choice, but because it's still useful enough to be considered at all, even as just the "economy blower", I would argue that it's not obsolete....

^^^^ Thanks man. It's a shame he didn't live to see me turn into the Blue-Oval fanatic I've become, because I'd say he's definitely responsible for it, but that aside, but I wouldn't say Roots types...

RE: Supercharger Comparison

At the moment I'm driving a 98 Vert GT w/ no mods, but that wouldn't be the car in question (it was my grandfather's before he passed so that one's kind of a sacred "in family car" anyway). I asked...

RE: Insurance???

Wow I must be doing something wrong when I'm pricing insurance quotes online. According to Geico I'd be paying upwards of 5k a year on a 2003 Mach 1, I'm 18 w/ no speeding tickets or accidents of any...

RE: TECH: Gas Mileage for your 96-04 GT/Mach 1/Cobra

I have a totally stock 98 GT Convertible. Usually I get between 17-18 around town and 24-25 on purely highway trips. Of course lately my mileage has sucked because finding parking has become a 15...

RE: 97 gt to 98 gt power comparison

I could've sworn I read somewhere that the power came from removing two of the cats (making it 4 instead of 6). Did the 96-97 even have 6 cats?
