I converted my 89 from a 4 cylinder to a 5.0, and the dash harness was the same for both cars (using an 89 5.0 donor car). That said, every other wiring harness was different, and had to be changed...

Recommend either a 351 block or an aftermarket 302 block (preferably big bore and stroked) at those power levels with a turbo. Decent heads, intake, and headers will make 500hp relatively easy with...

At some point, the multiple spark ignition boxes will provide you a smoother idle, they did for me. Plugs also lasted longer between changes, maybe because of the smoother idle. I never noticed a...

If I had to choose between only those two, I'd choose the ignition box, but with a nearly stock engine, you're not going to notice the difference.

I'm with orange peel, if the MA is set up for 24# injectors, and everything is working correctly, you should have a smooth idle. The A9L computers are awesome for working with modifications, and...

Is that 400hp at the crank, or at the tires? Are you looking for a street car, with street manners, or more of a race car with a rough idle? Buying an assembled short block from one of the larger...

They shouldn't get uneven by rolling past 100k miles, but they can get uneven if someone takes apart the odometer, and puts it back together again (to change the reading). What kind of maintenance...

The only driveability issue with 3.73 gears is you will lose some highway gas mileage, near 5 mpg. Around town it will stay about the same, you'll just be in 5th a lot more than you used to be. ...

When it stops making power. Probably around 5500 rpm in reality, about 6000 rpm (or so) on the factory tach. Factory rev limit is 6250, in reality, which is around 7000 on the factory tach.

When I put TF TW heads (and cobra intake) on my 89, my gas mileage went up by about 1 mpg. 1.7 rockers had earlier cost me about 1 mpg, so in the end I came out even.

I usually got 20 mpg around town, and 24 on the highway, with a 3.73 rear, with a hci (TF heads) 306. I would accelerate however I felt like, but then cruise between 1500 and 2000, with a lot of my...

The only way to be sure is to check piston to valve clearance. Those K motion springs you listed have a higher valve spring rate than you need for that cam, but that would not pose a problem.

Just cruising, it should be roughly 14.7 (controlled by the O2 sensors). For wide open throttle, for NA, it should be roughly 13.0:1.
