Why do you feel you need new COPs--they will last 300k miles as long as you change the plugs every 80k to 100k miles--an replace the boots as needed (125k to 150k miles)...

Rule of thumb for years has been that the sump oil temp will be 1.2 to 1.4 times the coolant temperature--for your 194F that would be 232 to 271F. The 278 reported by you new gauge is a bit high...

The COPs are not designed to ever repeatedly dump...

Make sure the tire store idiots tightened the lug nuts--would not be the first time. If they are tight then you have some problem with the LSD clutch pack(s), spider/side gears or maybe broken axle...
