I have that same schematic but that is what is so...

I have that same schematic but that is what is so confusing....ford put all the options on one schematic and use brackets to show the differences. But to me, i cant tell what wires on this schematic...

thanks to everyone for their help...I got it...

thanks to everyone for their help...I got it running. I was the Tach! The Tach needs to be hooked up to complete the curcuit from the resistor wire to the coil.

I have the complete wiring diagram for a 73 with a 351c... but there are extra wires when the tach is involved that are not shown in the diagram...diagram only shows idiot lights, not gauges
