Also check to see if you are getting spark to that plug. A wet plug could just be fuel, although it doesnt really explain the plumes of smoke.

Ok. To answer all you questions, to use the LSD from a GT in a v6 you will need the entire rear end assymbly, not just the diff. a GT rear is a 28 spline 8.8 and the v6 rear is a 28 spline 7.5

Biggest thing is going to be making sure input shaft is correct length to work with bell housing, and that thr bell will bolt to your engine without a clearance issue.

If this is for a 7.5 then yes you are getting ripped. You can pick up another entire 7.5 assembly for around $100 USD and install it yourself or grab a 8.8 for less than $300 USD and install it.
