Agreed to both points, + the DIY for headers and cams is not exactly the easiest job(s) to tackle. I'm guessing OP is new to this, so I would recommend the UDPs.

That's a new one to me. Tranny fluid is not that expensive, so I don't understand why they would "regenerate" it as opposed to changing it. Personally I would prefer new fluid. Everything breaks...

It's not a Mustang, but here is my most recent UOA for my Freestyle. I went 10,800 on the oil before changing. Their next suggested mileage is 12,000.

Keeping the traction control on will not damage the car. I'm not sure how it ran faster with it on, unless the guy was a horrible driver. But you said they were professional drivers, so who knows.

I also use Blackstone. They provide great detailed information, not guess work and assumptions. There's really no logic in changing oil at 3,000 miles any more. We have long since passed that point...

Not familiar with convertibles, so can't confirm your statement of "more stuff to be removed", but the gears on mine only took a few hours, and that was with having to replace the pinion bearing.

Are you replacing just the springs? Or the shocks as well? My friend replaced just the springs on his car and it was noticeably more stiff than mine. I replaced springs and shocks/struts.
