Here's a few pics of the paint correction i'm currently doing on a 99GT.

It has been sitting for 2 years and heavily oxidized. Had to wet sand the entire car with 3000 then 5000 grit sandpaper

Yes, they add a layer of protection and can help with avoiding "minor" contact defects. They are however, not as durable as a clear bra or not driving...

If it looks slick for any length of time (like Armor All), then it most likely has a silicone base and...

It will take time and practice. The great thing about DA's is the fact that you can't burn the clear coat with them. You can leave product hazing, but it's something that can be fixed...

Key here would be minimizing brake dust as much as possible.
I'd also advise taking the wheels off and thoroughly cleaning...

Agreed...RaggToP is what I use as well. Ford does put UV protection into their tops, but not a water repellent like RaggTop. You'll need to reapply it about once a year.

Well, much to my dismay, after all the cleaning and correcting in the stripe areas, I did a mist test (spraying water from 3ft above car and let it settle) and you could still see the stripe outline....

OK...our local group, Wake Forest Mustangs will be attending this event, which is being held at our supporters location.

One of the owners is trying to get this event to 500 cars (350 last year)...
