Default Headlight Bulbs

What is everyone using for headlight bulbs besides the OEM bulbs? I can't see at night so I need something bright. Got a set of the Silverstar bulbs and those are not much better. I did not realize that changing these bulbs are such a pain, especially on the passenger side. There is no room over there to see and you have to unscrew the little screw that holds the bulb in.

When I had my Camaro I found some cheap lights on Ebay that worked great. I can't seem to find the same ones for the Mustang.

Well most of the mods you could do to your lights are illegal like using HID Ebay kits and such and Silverstars are about as good a bulb as you can get.

Did your car come with Projector headlights? If you do have projectors you might get away with HID bulbs since the projectors have such a well defined cutoff. Try retrofitsource.com

I tried the HID thing and got tired of replacing ballasts and getting light all over the place except the road so went back to normal bulbs, but my car has reflector headlights and those don't like HID's

I have had Retro Solutions HID kit in my '06 GT for over 100K miles without a single issue. I think they give fantastic light. I believe their kits are the best on the market.

These are the headlights I took out of the car. I will be putting these back in the car.

So your car has OEM HID's?

Appears to look that way. After lots of research and some advice on the other Mustang forums, the OEM lights will be the best bet.

I was gonna get HID but decided to go for longevity so I bought LED bulbs (off eBay). Work fine and I expect them to last longer than any type of bulb. They are OEM replacement so i can still get projector housings later if I ever get any more money to invest in my headlights

Judging by the name you have a 2013? I have an 08 and those components don't look the same as the 05-2009/10.
