Default Any truth to the 7-speed DC auto trans for 2018/2019?

Been hearing a lot of rumblings that the 2018/2019 GT350 will be offered with a dual-clutch auto trans, in fact, the same one that's found in the new Ford GT. Are there any confirmations from Ford on this? What's everyone's thoughts about this? "Awesome" or "blasphemy"?

Personally, due to damage in my wrist and forearm, while fine for short periods of time, I have issues with driving a manual transmission anymore. ~20 minute drives are fine, but I begin having pain and general uncomfortableness in my arm due to old injuries with those prolonged drives on a road where I'll need to shift often. Since I don't buy "secondary cars" currently and the car I own is always my daily, for me, this opens up purchasing a Shelby for the first time in years... Also, I've heard that the Ford GT's transmission is phenomenal.

Now, if this winds up being true, I'll have a choice to make; I had a 2001 GT Convertible from 2006 until 2012, which is when I leased a 2013 GT (leased because I was waiting to see what the redesign looked and drove like), 2015 I leased a 2016 GT (because I heard that there might be an engine upgrade in 2018 or 2019) and had planned on flat-out purchasing my next one. I greatly miss having a convertible.... but ~15k more for a Shelby is hard to say no to

According to Ford, the only changes for the 2018 MY GT350/350R will be exterior colors.

Well, that's a shame. Did some more googling and the rumors are now stating that any changes are being held for the 2019 model year. If they indeed do this I suppose they'll wait for whenever they put out the new GT500 as well.

The GT has a transaxle, not sure how that's supposed to work in a Mustang.
