Default Hood Corrosion

Does anyone know of there is a class action suit I can join on the rampant Mustang hood corrosion problem? I have been trying to get some resolution for several years and have had it. I went to local dealer - no luck - I filled out Ford's on line form - no reply at all. I love my 2011 but the hood corrosion is really a black eye on a beautiful car. Thanks for any guidance

Never heard of any rampant corrosion on a 2011 hood. Mine never did.

Lots of newer hoods are having corrosion issues, which is apparently due to the aluminum causing issues with the metal.
I have a 2006 Stang, but no problems yet;
nothing about any lawsuits, but i'm keeping my eyes open

Just google mustang hood corrosion - lots of images on the internet. I saw the NJ suit was tossed because it seems those guys wanted lots of damages - I just want my hood fixed.

Generally speaking nothing happens unless its a safety concern. If it does gain traction people end up wanting more than the actual replacement of a hood as in the NJ case being tossed.

Mine is 10 years old and the hood is perfectly fine. My cousin has a 2010 Expedition and the front of the hood is starting to bubble up. Luck of the draw I guess.

The real problem is: the lawyers will make millions while you will get a coupon for a free car wash...

Well i know its a problem I just don't see a resolution to it that will involve ford. A 2011 with hood corrosion is bad but then there is people with older models with nothing.

The lawyers that you are mentioning may have taken this case on for free then if they won then yes they get plenty. If it goes no where they get nothing. As in most class action lawsuits. We can blame lawyers all we want but lets be honest if you could or anyone sue a company such as ford, doctor or whoever. If they tell you that you are ENTITLED to more what person says no to that. NOT VERY MANY.
