Auto trans jerking
I have searched and searched. Can't find the answer. I just bought a 2000 Mustang GT automatic. After running at operating temps, cruising at 40 miles an hour, the car will jerk a couple of times then run ok. If I give it more gas it runs fine. Its only when in high gear maybe 4th and then it jerks a few times. I'm really hoping its not the transmission. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I only had upstream sensors since mine was cat less. So just the 2 before the cats. Those are the only 2 the pcm uses to adjust timing and fuel. It fixed both the 2000 GTs that I had. But before you go through all that hassle, have the codes scanned and see if anything is coming up in the computer.

It is possible to get a slight misfire that won't trigger a code, which can result in a shudder. I've seen loose spark plugs do that.
Another common cause of shudder is transmission fluid. It might be time for some fresh Mercon V.
