So I have a 2015 GT automatic with the Roush phase 1 supercharger kit that is the 670 HP kit smog legal with air box lid scewed on

Car is stock with exception of supercharger and a carbon fiber drive shaft and Magna Flow cat back completion exhaust

So 1st and 2nd Roush tunes sucks and now 3RD Roush tune rips no issues

MY question is when I got the PCM back the 3rd time and hooked up car felt like it was sluggish like not enough air, So I removed the air box lid and now it rips. I breaks the tires loose with ease and just launches from a dead stop. even lost grip on a hard pull in 4th gear! I am actually amazed it is running so strong and pulling like this with a Roush tune? I just about gave up and was going to scrap and go with Palm Beach Tune.

So before with air box lid on and old tune #2 it ran fine but with air box open not good

Now it is a monster with LId off I wonder if Roush calibrated with this tune with a open air box ?

Contact Roush to see. Otherwise I'd leave it off.

Please follow up on this post and let me know what Roush says. I too have the supercharger on mine and would like to know if i can take that top off

I jave the roush phase 1 called roush spoke to Gavin he said its ok to run with lid off but if was told if u have a phase 2 and do this it could surge ay high speed cruising. I jave since installed a air duct so when hood shuts all cold air the theougj cervini hood scoops go straigjt to air box. The car is a beast and runs strong it loves more air and no problems at all on the phase 1 kit
